DriveWorks training

DriveWorks is extremely powerful and versatile design automation software.

To get the most out of it as quickly and as thoroughly as possible, we recommended that you receive training from an organisation with people who are experienced in using DriveWorks themselves and experienced in training people to how to best use DriveWorks.

Yes, yes, I can hear you saying, “but I’ve been using computers for years and have experience with a variety of software, I can learn it myself, save the cost and time of a training course”.

And you’re right, you probably can learn it yourself.  But should you?

Design automation software is different to other software. While you don’t have to be programmer to use the software, it does take more understanding of computers and software than most people have.

I’ve attended formal training courses for some software, and I’ve taught myself other software, so I know and understand what is involved in both approaches.

Some people are always going to want to teach themselves because that’s just the way they work, and that’s fine.  But in my experience teaching yourself takes much longer than learning in a training course, and you don’t always find the hidden or not so commonly used functions, so your learning is not complete.  This applies even more to DriveWorks.

In a training course the information is presented to you in a structured and planned way, thus maximising your learning time.  Additionally, you have the time and opportunity to ask the trainer all sorts of questions.  They don’t even have to be part of the course content, or even related directly to the course.

Driveworks Training Quickly

If you want to learn DriveWorks as quickly as possible, and let’s face it, who doesn’t, then it’s worth getting trained properly by someone who knows what they are doing.  Any cost involved will be quickly offset by the speed at which you can start using the software efficiently and productively.

At IDM Consulting we can train you in the efficient and effective use of DriveWorks.  Bill, our lead trainer, is qualified in DriveWorks, SOLIDWORKS and training, a combination not usually found in SOLIDWORKS/DriveWorks resellers, to our knowledge.  He has the following qualifications:
